CASE STUDY - FRENCH PARACHUTISTS

Armoury Storage

Owing to a delivery of new machine guns, the French Parachutists found that their armoury storage facilities were too small to satisfactorily store the new weapons.

FWS were called in to look at 7 armoury locations each containings over 500 weapons in cramped conditions. The Parachutists were particularly concerned that the speed of weapon deployment was being affected by inefficient storage.

FWS measured the spaces, calculated the most efficient layout to permit easy movement of personnel in the armoury. Drawings were submitted and the go ahead was given.
